Theft Cover
Unfortunately, we live in a world where undesirable individuals will take great pleasure in stealing your eBike. We have done all we can to protect you from this happening, but you do have some responsibility to work with us to ensure the risks are minimized.
- Ensure you always lock the eBike to a solid structure which is immovable, with the lock we provide.
- If a theft occurs, you must take a photo at the scene, showing the broken lock (thieves never take broken locks). With modern phones, all photos are date and location stamped. If you fail to do this your claim may be void and you will be liable for the full cost of the eBike.
- Ensure you ring the police and get a crime reference number. Again, if you fail to do this your claim will be rejected and you will be liable for the full cost of the eBike.
- In the unfortunate event that your eBike is stolen, inform the Shift customer service team immediately,
- email support@shift.bike they will help.
- You are required to continue paying your subscription fee for a maximum of 2 months while your case is being investigated
- A theft cover administration charge of £150.00 must be paid to assist with the recovery of the ebike, this is refunded when the is recovered.
- Our theft cover, covers you for the cost of the replacement ebike to the company, this does not cover you for the replacement and delivery of a new bike.
